Michael Cotton,
1600GT
The car was originally a 1974 1600GT,
thank you for the advice
regarding new cams for my recently fitted 2.0 litre Nord type engine. The cams
were sent to Brunwick Automotive in Ely Cambs who were undertaking the engine
rebuild. The rebuild and fitting were completed last week and we went to collect
the car from Wilshers garages in Wimpole where Peter the owner and Dave from
Brunswick spent 3 hours setting the 45's re-jetting them, re- calibrating the
dizzy and then testing power output. They ran the engine up to a variety of revs
and after some further re-jetting achieved an incredible 190BHP at
6500 on the dyno.

Dave from Brunswick was very
impressed with the cams and everyone concerned including me was extremely
chuffed with the results. The car drives great and is quite happy in town and a
complete blast on main roads. Once again can't praise you enough regarding
your knowledge about these cams, photos of the freshly painted and re-engined 1600GT
which you supplied many new engine spares and the wonderful 292 S cams. the sports manifold is one of yours
too. |
